My Culture and Famous People in My Culture

Hi my name is Mubasshira and I am going to talk about my culture that is Islam and the famous people in my culture. Firstly I would like to tell you about God.

People say that we don't believe in Jesus well that is true but we believe in this other god named Allah (Al-lah). His messenger is called Mohammed (My brothers name). 1 of the things we have to read everyday is the Holy Quran (Ku-raan). There are 5 important things you have to do in you Islamic life that is

1. Faith
There is no god worthy of worship except Allah and Mohammed is his messenger.

2. Prayer
Salat is the name of the obligatory prayers that are preformed 5 times a day, and are a direct link between the Worshipper and Allah.

3.Zakaat
one of the most important principles of Islam is that all things belong to god, and that wealth is therefore held by human beings in trust.

4. Fasting
Every year in the month of Ramadan, all Muslims fast from first light until sundown, abstaining from food, drink and other things you eat in the day.

5.Pilgrimage
To have a trip to Makkah, Hajj and this is the Place where Allah was born and this is where we pray to Allah.

So these are the 5 most important things in the Life. In Islam you can learn lots of things.

Now lastly here are some people who converted themselves into the culture of Islam.

1. Muhammed Ali

2. Jermaine Jackson

3. Michael Jackson and also known as (A.K.A) Michaaeel (Mick-haa-eel) Jackson and this is the name of 1 famous Angel of Allah and he is in charge of food and rain. Other Angels work under him who are in charge of clouds, the seas, the rivers, and the wind. He gets the order from Allah. He then orders the others under his commands.

I am very proud to be a Muslim.
Thank you please comment.
If you have any questions please comment and tell me and I will make sure I answer them all.

Henna

Hi my name is Mubasshira. I am going to tell you about a traditional think of Indians. Henna is a very cool thing. You apply it on special Festivals such as New years day or like on Christmas and all sorts of things. Here is a picture of my hands and my henna. This is how I sometimes do my henna. If you see very closely you might be even able to see my name. We put this on by Henna cone sometimes if you want to have darker colour you can just buy the powder and put water in it and leave it for a day. I just had got the cone it is much easier. If you are wondering where to get these you can find it in New Zealand or India. On my hands my sister just did some patterns and had looked out of books. If you do this it depends on how much we have put on. If you have a lot like me you have to at least leave it on for 3 hours. If you just did your name you will like to only put it on for a hour.
So have you learnt enough about Henna?
Thank you.
If you need any help just ask me.

There is a Ball at the Pt England Castle (Hall)

On Thursday the 24th of September Week 10 Pt England School is having a ball . This name of the ball is called The Art in Storytelling. It will be in the Pt England Castle!! (Hall) This is about fairy tales. We will have to dress up in Fairy tale characters. From today I will be thinking about who I will be doing because I change my mind a lot. I have an idea of being Tinkerbell's friend, Silvermist . I don't want to be Tinkerbell because Ala (My friend) might be Tinkerbell or she might be Tinkerbells other friend Rosseta.

So Pt Englanders what are you going to be at the Royal Ball?
Thanks to (http://www.shoppalstores.com/tad_bits/image//logos/Fairies%20pic.jpg) for this amazing image o Tinkerbell and her friends.

My Second Best Friend Ala

Hi my name is Mubasshira and I am going to talk about my second best friend, Ala. She is 10 years old but I am older than her, her birthday is on July the 14th and my birthday is on May the 1st. She is a very helpful friend. Ala is a big and softhearted girl. She helps me in things I need help in. I like her very much because she is very cool. One of the things I like about Ala is that she is a very nice kind friend. She cares for me if I get hurt or if I am sad. Together we like to play Tag a lot. It is so fun she sometimes cheats but I don`t care, thats just how friends play. We are not best friends but I think she is my second best friend to me. I care for her when she is hurt or sad. When she smiles I smile because she is happy

So do you have a friend that is like Ala?

This Website will take you to Ala's Blog

Thank You Mubasshira
