Pt England`s First Fairy Tale Topic

    We walked into the hall and I noticed all of the teachers were dressed up as fairy tale characters.  I saw a fairy godmother granting wishes, a grumpy Shrek, and all sorts of characters.  We were in the hall because it was the first day of term 3.  “Yay we were going to learn about fairy tales”.  

When Mr Burt came into the hall he was wearing clothes that a prince wears.  As he was walking down the hall he said “Have you seen my princess?” Just then in my head there was a “CLICK” and I knew what he was talking about.  He was talking about Cinderella!  I also knew it was Cinderella because in his right hand he was holding a glass slipper.  Mr Burt I mean the Prince was so sad about where his princess had gone.  Next he told all the team 1 teachers to come up on stage. 

The best teacher I liked from team 1 was Miss Wild because she was acting like Little Red Riding Hood.  Mr Burt then welcomed team 2.  I liked Miss Va’afusuaga best because she acted like Puss ‘n’ Boots and she actually spoke like Puss ‘n’ Boots. 

As Mr Burt introduced team 3 an exquisitely beautiful Cinderella, who was Miss Garden, walked on the stage with her flouncy, flowing train swishing from side to side.  There also were the 2 hideous and jealous stepsisters squabbling and disputing over the gumboot  and the broom stick which had a image of Brad Pitt on it.  Mr Burt said to Cinderella “ You are not my princess because there`s are a huge difference between a gumboot and a glass slipper!” Cinderella said “Oh” disappointingly and stepped off the stage. 

This is when team 4 came up.  There was a grumpy Shrek, a kind Fiona, a Pied Piper of Auckland and a magical and mysterious fairy godmother.  The best fairy tale character I liked was the fairy godmother because I really like magical things and also because they are so mysterious. 

Suddenly an Evil Queen strode angrily down the aisle.  The Evil Queen had a sinister stare and snapped condescendingly at anyone who talked to her.  "She's so vain!" I said in my mind.  In her bag she had a pig's heart, a mirror and an apple, a poisonous apple.  I knew the story of snow white and the seven dwarfs.  She chattered "If you know why I have these 3 things in my handbag come to my palace and record it in to my magical camera". 

Mr Burt then introduced what we were learning about and then we left.  I really liked how we are learning about fairy tales because it will be so much fun this term also because I think we will be doing plays of fairy tale stories.

My Second Podcast is Out

Hi y name is Mubasshira and I am here to let you watch you my second podcast.  This podcast I have done with is with Sylvia, you might of heard a little bit about my second podcast but this is a full version as well as you can hear my second podcast. Ankylosaurus Hyperstudio Stack

Ankylosaurus

Ankylosaurus meant Fused Lizard. Ankylosaurus was a plant-eating dinosaur. It had to eat a hug amount of low lying plant material. It had 4 short legs. Ankylosaurus was a huge armoured dinosaur, measuring about 7.5 - 10.7 m long, 1.8 m wide and 1.2 m tall. It weighed roughly 3-4 tons. This dinosaur had a short neck and a wide skull with a tiny brain. This large dinosaur lived in the Cretaceous Period about 75-65 million years ago.

Nutrition

Ankylosaurus eats low-lying plants. The teeth are 2cm long and its small teeth are perfect for nipping leaves that are low-lying. Ankylosaurus had large throat bones and that show us that Ankylosaurus had a big tongue which probably pushed it`s food around inside it`s mouth before swallowing.

Adaptation

Ankylosaurus had plates of bony armour that were joined together over their bodies. Ankylosaurus had a long wide body. 2 row of spikes grew along its back and it had horns at the back of it`s head. It had a tail like a club, which they used to attack predators. The club was made from several plates of armour that locked together. Ankylosaurus was a Saurischian which means it was a lizard hipped dinosaur.

Habitat

Ankylosaurus lived in the Cretaceous period that is 65-75 million years ago. Ankylosaurus lived in North America because fossils were found in the state of Montana, USA. They were also found in Alberta, Canada. This dinosaur was the last armoured dinosaur.

How did dinosaurs become extinct?

Ankylosaurus and all the other dinosaurs ( except birds ) perished in the Cretaceous Tertiary extinction , 65 million years ago. Some paleontologists believe that a huge meteorite had crashed into the coast of Mexico and some paleontologists believe that Hydrogen had spread around and for dinosaurs hydrogen was not good for them. So these were the 2 theory`s to how dinosaurs became extinct.

Intelligence

Ankylosaurus was an ankylosaur. Scientists believe it wasn`t very intelligent because their brain was small compared to its body weight. This means its intelligence was compared to some other dinosaurs.

Paleontologists

Thankfully paleontologists are still learning about dinosaurs because they are still discovering more fossils.
